As most of you will be aware there are suggestions that an Incinerator may well be build within the Parish.

The Parish Council have set up an "Action Group" which have regular meetings. All members of the Parish are welcome to come to the meetings. All meetings are advertised on the noticeboards and sandwich boards around the Village.

As and when we get more information about the proposals, they will be added to the website.

At the meeting on 3rd June 2008, Cllrs Hyde and Harris both tendered their resignations from the Parish Council.

Members thanked the Councillors for their hard work and commitment and wished them well for the future.

We are sorry to see them go.

At the Parish Council Meeting in February the following charges were agreed for the rent for 2008/2009:

£20 Per Plot - £15 for OAPs

Letters have been sent to all current plot holders which included copies of the Terms and Conditions of Tenancy which they are asked to sign and return with their rent.

Also in February current plot holders and others on the waiting list got together to mark out 18 new plots as part of the Phase 1 development plan. Nine of these were taken up immediately by people on the waiting list. These plots are mostly covered with rough grass and have not been cultivated for a few years and so will be rent free for the first year!
