Please note it was agreed at the August Parish Council meeting that from 2010 the rent will be increased to £22 for a full plot and the OAP rate will remain unchanged at £15.

Ellistown Allotments, Midland Road, Ellistown

The site consists of 42 plots of approximately 10 poles. The current rent is £20 for a full plot and £15 for OAPs. Facilities include stand pipes and a car parking area and vehicle access to all plots – though plotholders are asked to avoid using the tracks after rain.

All the available plots on this site are now allocated and discussions have begun about the possibility of creating further plots on a currently uncultivated section of the site. To put your name on the waiting list for a plot please contact the Parish Clerk on 07504 688016.

An allotment society has been formed and regular meetings between the Committee and the Parish Council have been established. More details of the society which is open to local gardeners as well as allotment holders can be found on their website: eags.bravehost.com

The website also includes pictures of the allotment site and details of events being organised by the society including an Open Day and Scarecrow Competition in August, followed by a Sunflower Competition in September and a Pumpkin Day in October.
