Wanted: Parish Councillor

Ellistown and Battleflat Parish Council is looking for someone to serve as a Parish Councillor.

If you have an interest in local affairs and a wish to serve your community, please contact the Clerk not later than Friday 26th August 2016.

You will need to meet the basic legal requirements to serve as a councillor which include being at least 18 years of age and living within the parish or within 3 miles of the boundary or working or owning land within the parish.

Anyone expressing an interest will be invited to attend the next meeting of the Council which is on Wednesday 14th September 2016 at Ellistown Primary School when there will be an opportunity to ask and answer questions.

The Council will then decide on who to co-opt.

The term of office will run until the next ordinary elections in May 2019.
